A मञ्जुरीनामा is a signed statement that you agree to something another person is about to do, where your agreement is legally needed: a family member selling or mortgaging property you have a share in, someone applying for a child's passport on your behalf, a change to a firm you are a partner in. In English it is a letter of consent, or a no-objection letter.

मञ्जुरीनामा लेख्ने तरिका — what it must contain
मञ्जुरी दिने (who is consenting). Full name, father's or husband's name, address and citizenship number.
मञ्जुरी पाउने (who it is given to). Their name, address, citizenship number and their relationship to you.
The matter. For land, the municipality and ward, the plot (कित्ता) number and the area, exactly as on the land ownership certificate (लालपुर्जा).
The statement. That you consent of your own free will, without pressure, and will raise no claim afterwards. The standard wording is filled in for the purpose you choose and can be edited.
Date, signature and witnesses. Your signature and thumbprints, and two witnesses with their addresses.
Where it is used
Malpot (land revenue) office — when family property is sold, transferred or divided and the other coparceners must agree.
Banks and financial institutions — when property with more than one person's interest is mortgaged for a loan.
Passport and citizenship — when one parent applies for a child's document and the other cannot attend. For a child travelling abroad, use the minor travel consent letter, which carries the journey details airlines ask for.
Companies and partnerships — when a partner or shareholder must agree to a change.
Before you rely on it
For land and property, the Malpot office normally wants the person giving consent to appear in person with their citizenship certificate, or the consent to be formally registered. A signed letter is accepted for smaller matters. Ask the office which it needs before the day.
If you cannot attend at all, what you need is an अधिकृत वारेसनामा, which authorises someone to act for you, not only a consent.
