Chapter one — What it does
Most CV builders lock the good templates behind a subscription and ask for your email before you've typed a word. CareerKyt does neither.
A real page preview sits beside the form and re-renders as you write — so you always know your page count and where the text lands.
A true vector PDF with selectable, searchable text — not a screenshot. Word and plain text are one click away, and a recruiter's tracking system can actually parse it.

4 things to fix
Scores your CV and lists what a recruiter would notice — missing numbers, passive phrasing, clichés, date gaps, over-long bullets.
Paste the posting and see the exact terms it uses that your CV doesn't. No AI, no upload — it runs on your device.
Reuses your name, contacts and template — and can draft itself from the CV you already wrote.
Achievement phrasing for your field — software, design, kitchen, healthcare, teaching, sales — with blanks for your numbers.
Keep several side by side and tailor each to a role. Every one keeps its own template, colours and section order.
And the order is yours — drag any section into the position that tells your story best.
Your CV lives in your browser, not on a server. No account needed — sign in only if you want it on your other devices. Install it and everything keeps running with no internet at all.
Chapter two — The templates
Switch template at any time without retyping anything — your content stays put while the design changes. Every template lets you set your own accent colour, font and text size.

Try a template nowChapter three — How it works
Work through the sections one at a time. A progress bar shows what's done and the editor tells you exactly what's still missing, so nothing important gets left out.
Try all 16 with your own content in the preview. Adjust the accent colour, font and text size until it looks right for the job you're applying to.
One click gives you a print-ready PDF of your CV and, if you wrote one, your cover letter — A4 or US Letter, picked automatically for your country — with real selectable text so recruiters and ATS software can read it properly.
Written for Nepal
Chapter four — For Nepal
Most CV advice online is written for the US or UK job market, and some of it works against you here. These are the differences that matter when you are applying to companies in Kathmandu, Pokhara or anywhere else in Nepal.
American guides tell you to leave your photo off. In Nepal, and across much of South Asia and Europe, a clear headshot is normal and often expected. CareerKyt has several photo-friendly templates, and you can remove the photo in one click if a particular employer prefers it.
Nepal uses A4 paper, so a CV built on US Letter prints with odd margins here. CareerKyt picks A4 automatically based on where you are, and you can switch if you are applying abroad.
Government positions, INGOs and many local job portals ask for .doc or .docx rather than PDF, and some application forms only give you a box to paste plain text into. You can export all three formats.
A long CV is not a strong CV. One page is right for students and early careers, two for anyone with several years of experience. The live preview shows your page count as you type, and the Compact template fits more without shrinking the text to nothing.
“Responsible for handling customers” tells a recruiter nothing. “Handled 60+ customer calls a day with a 95% satisfaction score” tells them everything. The review tool flags passive phrasing and bullets with no numbers in them, so you can fix it before you send.

Yes. Every template and every feature is free, including PDF download. There is no paywall, no watermark on your CV, and no trial that expires.
No. There is no sign-up and no email required. Open the CV maker and start typing straight away.
Entirely in your own browser, and there is no account to create. Your CV, your cover letter and any job description you paste are never uploaded — every feature that touches them runs on your device. Three things can leave, each only if you choose: a review or bug report you send, an anonymous page count that records no personal data — and sets no cookies whatsoever for visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland — and your own work if you sign in to sync it across devices. You can export a JSON backup at any time to move your CV to another device or browser.
Yes. CareerKyt generates a real vector PDF with selectable, searchable text rather than an image of your CV, so applicant tracking systems can parse your experience, skills and contact details correctly.
Yes. Keep several resumes side by side and duplicate one to tailor it for a specific role — change the summary, reorder the sections, or switch to a different template. Each CV keeps its own design.
Yes. Every CV comes with a matching cover letter that reuses your name, contact details and chosen template, so the two documents look like a set. CareerKyt can also build you a first draft from the CV you already wrote — you just edit it so it sounds like you. When you're done, download the CV, the letter, or both together as a zip.
Yes. Paste the posting into the Job match tab and you'll get a score out of 100 plus the important words it uses that your CV doesn't — ranked by how much the posting leans on them. It runs in your browser, so the posting is never uploaded anywhere unless you sign in to sync them.
Yes. The Review tab scores your CV out of 100 and lists what a recruiter would notice: missing contact details, achievements with no numbers, passive phrases like “responsible for”, clichés, first-person pronouns, employment gaps and bullets that run too long. If you're stuck writing them, the phrase library suggests achievement wording for your field.
Yes. Install CareerKyt from your browser — no app store needed — and you can edit your CV and download PDFs with no internet connection at all.
No account, no payment, no watermark. Start typing and download the PDF when you're happy with it.
