Career objective for a CV: examples for every job
A career objective is the two or three lines at the top of a CV that say who you are, what you can already do, and which job you want. Write it for one role: your qualification or experience, one concrete proof such as a skill or a number, and the position you are applying for. Freshers lead with their degree and training.
Most CVs in Nepal open with the same sentence — "to work in a challenging environment where I can utilise my skills" — and a recruiter skips it, because it could be anyone's. A good career objective could only be yours. Below: what the phrase means in Nepali, the three things a strong one contains, and ready examples written for each job — a fresher version for every one, and an experienced version by field. Every one links to the full CV it comes from.

Career objective meaning in Nepali
Career (करियर) means your working life — the पेशा or line of work you build over time. A career objective is करियर उद्देश्य, often just written उद्देश्य on a Nepali CV: a short statement of what you want to do professionally and what you bring to it.
How to write a career objective
Three parts, in this order. Who you are (your qualification, or your years and field), one proof (a registration, a skill named exactly, or a number), and the role you want. Nothing else.
Two or three lines. Under fifty words. It is read in a few seconds, and anything longer is skipped.
Written for this vacancy. Change the last line for each application so it names the post you are applying for. A recruiter can tell a sentence written for them from one written for everyone.
About what you offer, not what you want. "Looking for growth opportunities" is about you; "Registered staff nurse with four years in emergency care" is about what they get.
Objective or summary? In Nepal and India the two are used interchangeably. Strictly, an objective suits freshers and career changers, and a profile or summary suits experienced people — but both are the same two or three lines at the top, and the examples below work under either heading.
Career objective for freshers
With no job yet, lead with the degree, then the one thing you can already do — an internship, a training, a project, typing speed, a registration — and name the kind of first role you want. Do not apologise for having no experience; say what you have.

The mistakes that get an objective skipped
- The sentence everyone writes. "To work in a challenging and dynamic environment" is on half the CVs a recruiter reads in a day. Replace it with your qualification and one real strength.
- Too long. A paragraph of five lines is not read. Two or three, under fifty words.
- About you, not them. "I want to grow my career" tells an employer what you want. Say what they get.
- The same objective for every job. Name the role in the vacancy. An accountant objective sent for a sales post reads as not having read the advertisement.
- No proof. A registration number, a named skill, a number from your last job — one of them turns a claim into a fact. The 76 examples above each carry one.
