Privacy policy
The short version: your CV, letters and documents are kept in your own browser and are not sent to us. Signing in is optional. We count visits, and we do not show or sell advertising.
What stays on your device
Almost everything you make here is stored only in your browser’s own storage, on the phone or computer you are using.
- Your CV, cover letters, applications and the job tracker.
- Every document and certificate you fill in — निवेदन, agreements, affidavits and the rest.
- Files you give the PDF and photo tools. They are converted, merged or compressed by your browser and never uploaded.
- The CV-to-job match. Your CV is compared with a posting inside your browser.
- Your settings, such as the dark theme.
What that means for you
- Clearing your browser’s data, or using a private window, removes it. Download a backup or a PDF of anything you need to keep.
- It does not move to another device by itself. That is what optional sign-in is for.
- Anyone who can open your browser can open your CV. Do not leave it on a shared or cyber-café computer.
If you sign in to sync
Signing in is optional and only needed to keep the same CV on more than one device. It uses your Google account. When you sign in, we receive your Google account’s email address and name, and a copy of your builder data is stored on our database provider, Supabase, under your account so your other devices can load it.
You can delete the synced copy from the account menu in the builder at any time, and signing out stops further syncing. Deleting the synced copy does not delete what is in your browser.
What you send us on purpose
- Feedback and reviews. The text you write, the rating, the name you choose to give, and the page you were on.
- Post a job. The company name, careers page address, the note, and an email address if you give one.
- Email. Whatever you write to us, and your address so we can reply.
Analytics and cookies
We count visits so we know which pages are used. Two services do this.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — page views and loading speed. They set no cookies and build no profile of you.
- Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, the search or site that brought you, and events such as “downloaded a PDF”. It never receives anything you type into a CV or a document. Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it sets first-party cookies (
_ga) to tell one visit from another; inside those regions it runs without cookies. IP addresses are anonymised. - No advertising. There are no ads on CareerKyt, no advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Turning analytics cookies off
The notice shown on your first visit has a “No thanks” button. Choosing it switches Google Analytics to its cookieless mode on this browser and removes its cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the button below.
Other things the site keeps or loads
- Offline copy. The site saves its own pages and fonts in your browser so the builder works without a connection.
- Live figures. Gold, silver and exchange rates are fetched from our own server, which reads them from FENEGOSIDA and Nepal Rastra Bank. Nothing about you is sent to them.
- Job listings. Postings are read from employers’ own career pages. “Apply” takes you to the employer’s site, where their privacy policy applies, not this one.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, page) for security and to keep the site running.
Children
CareerKyt is made for people looking for work or preparing documents. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and how to reach us
To have your synced data, a review or a job submission removed, or to ask what we hold about you, write to adarsh@careerkyt.com. We answer within seven days. Nepal’s Individual Privacy Act, 2075 gives you rights over your personal information, and we will act on a request made under it.
Changes to this policy
If what the site stores changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
