How to resize a photo to a size in KB
- Choose the photo or signature — a phone photo is fine.
- Under Make it under, pick the form's limit: 20 KB and 50 KB suit signatures, 100–200 KB suits photos.
- Leave Keep the shape, or choose PP size or exact pixels if the form specifies them.
- Check the preview and the size shown under it, then download.
PP size photo: 35 × 45 mm
The common passport-size (PP size) photo is 35 mm wide and 45 mm tall. At 300 dpi — print quality — that is 413 × 531 pixels, which is what the PP option produces. The photo is cropped from the centre, so start with one where your face is centred and there is space above your head.
Forms differ: some ask for exact pixels (say 600 × 600), some for a different shape. Where a form gives its own dimensions, use the exact-pixels option with those numbers — the form's own instructions always win.
Resizing a signature
Sign in dark ink on plain white paper, photograph it flat in good light, and crop close to the signature with your phone's editor. Then choose a 20 or 50 KB limit here. A signature is mostly white, so it stays crisp at very small sizes.
