Government Salary Nepal 2083/84 — Army, Police, Teacher

The Council of Ministers set a new salary scale for all government employees from 1 Shrawan 2083, published by the Ministry of Finance. Pick a service and a post to see the basic salary with your grades, the 10% incentive allowance, provident fund, income tax and what reaches your account each month — and below, the full scale for every service.

How a government salary is made up

Basic salary — the starting salary of the post plus one grade for each year of service, up to the post's number of grades. A grade is one day's salary.
Incentive allowance — 10% of the new scale, monthly, from the Ministry of Finance letter of 20 Shrawan 2083.
Provident fund — 10% of basic salary deducted, and 10% added by the government, for those in the fund.
Festival allowance — one month's salary once a year.
Income tax — on the 2083/84 slabs, with PF and CIT deducted first. See the income tax calculator for the full breakdown.
