About CareerKyt
Free tools and guides for work and paperwork in Nepal. This page says who makes them, how they are made, how every figure on them is checked, and what we got wrong.
What CareerKyt is
A CV builder, Nepali documents and certificates, calculators, guides and a list of jobs, for people looking for work in Nepal and abroad. Today that is 109 guides in English and 11 in Nepali, 30 calculators and converters, 33 document and certificate makers and 40 complete CV examples, with jobs gathered each day from employers' own career pages.
Everything is free, and nothing needs an account.
Who runs it
CareerKyt is an independent project, built and run from Nepal since August 2026. It is not owned by, or part of, a bank, broker, insurer, publisher, recruitment agency or any government office. Write to adarsh@careerkyt.com; the contact page says what we can and cannot help with.
How guides are researched and written
A guide starts from what people in Nepal search for: Google's own suggestions, Google Trends and our Search Console figures. Before a word is written we read the pages that already rank for that search and note what they leave out. Often it is a figure worked out, a document filled in, a drawing of how something works, or a rule they still state from a year ago. If we cannot add something they lack, we do not write the page.
Guides are researched and written with the help of AI tools. That is the reason for everything in the next section. A tool can be confidently wrong, so no number is taken on its word: each one is worked out in code or traced to a source you can open yourself. The person who runs the site decides what is written and what is published.
How we check every figure
- Every number is worked out or sourced. It is either computed in the page's own code, so a sum cannot be mistyped, or copied from a source named beside it and listed on the page.
- Official sources first. Nepal Rastra Bank, SEBON, NEPSE, CDSC, the Inland Revenue Department, the Nepal Gazette, the laws on lawcommission.gov.np, and banks', funds' and employers' own pages. News reports come next, and each source is marked as official or news.
- What is not settled, we say. Where sources disagree or a rule has not been published, the page says so rather than picking one.
- A guide and a calculator agree. Where both cover the same sum, they share code, or a check proves they agree to the paisa. The retirement guide's tax figures come from the income tax calculator's own code; the fixed deposit guide and the FD calculator are checked against each other.
- Every guide is dated. Each shows when it was last updated, and 68 of the 109 also list every source with the day it was checked, in a box you can open. Pages with rates say which day's or month's rate they show.
- Checked before it goes live. Automated checks work the calculators' sums against known answers and open the pages on a phone-sized screen, to catch a wrong number or a broken page before anyone sees it.
When we get something wrong
Email adarsh@careerkyt.com with the page and what is wrong. We fix it, change every page that repeats it, and list it here. The corrections so far:
- 4 November 2026. A share's 15% daily price limit is measured from that day's pre-open price, not the previous close (NEPSE's trading regulation 17(2), in force from 20 April 2026). Two share market guides corrected.
- 4 November 2026. The Social Security Fund's board set 3.2% on retirement savings for 2083/84, as news reports gave it. The SSF guide had said no current rate could be found.
- 4 November 2026. Since 20 November 2025, SEBON's issuance directive makes the company pay the tax on bonus shares out of the dividend. The dividend guide, the bonus share guide and the dividend calculator had said the holder might have to pay it first.
- 1 November 2026. The share calculator and the guide to selling shares charged capital gains tax at 7.5% and 10% after the rates fell to 3.75% and 5% on 22 September 2026, about twice the real tax.
- 29 October 2026. The vehicle sale agreement gave the buyer and seller 35 days for the namsari; the law gives 15.
- 28 October 2026. The SSF guide gave the employer's old 15-day deadline to deposit contributions; the law now says 25 days.
What CareerKyt is not
- Not a licensed financial, tax or legal adviser. The guides explain how things work. They do not recommend any share, fund, bank or insurer, and they are not advice for your situation.
- Not a law firm. The documents are templates written to the forms people use. Check anything important with a lawyer or the office concerned.
- Not part of any government office. That includes Nepal Rastra Bank, the Public Service Commission and the EPS Korea Section. Nor is it part of any employer whose jobs it lists; each job links to the employer's own page.
- Not a recruitment agency. CareerKyt never charges job seekers, and never takes money to put anyone forward for a job.
Money and sponsors
Everything here is free. To pay for it, CareerKyt may sell sponsorship of a section of the site (advertise). A sponsor appears only in a box marked "Sponsored". No one can pay to be mentioned, ranked or recommended in a guide, a calculator or the jobs list, and no page carries affiliate links.
Your data
The CV builder, the document makers and the calculators run in your browser. What you type stays on your device unless you sign in to sync it. The privacy policy says what is counted and how to turn it off, and the terms of use say what you may rely on.
