Research and Strategic Planning Officer

This role is responsible for research, market intelligence, and strategic business analysis within the remittance and fintech sector. It involves analyzing market trends, customer behavior, competitors, regulations, and financial data to identify new business opportunities, products, partnerships, and growth areas. The role also supports management with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations while coordinating cross-functional initiatives across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Management or related discipline

3-5 years of proven experience in research and analysis related role.

Job Description

Conduct research and analyze data on remittance processes, customer behavior, transaction trends, and financial performance to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Research global remittance and fintech markets to identify new business opportunities, digital remittance models, potential partners, and new corridors for EMT.

Regularly study money transfer trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) regulations to support business and strategic decisions.

Support management in strategic planning by preparing research reports, market analysis, business cases, presentations, and recommendations.

Identify opportunities for new products and services based on market trends, technology developments, customer needs, and growth potential.

Support cross-department projects involving Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing, and help ensure agreed actions are completed on time.

Track the performance of new initiatives and partnerships and provide data-based recommendations for improvement and further growth.

Maintain regular market intelligence on the remittance and digital payment industry, both in Nepal and key international markets.
